I successfully used this jack to pull up 2 root balls on my property. The only problem I have is the release handle. I need to use a large claw hammer to hammer it out of the slot so the jack drops to its default lower position, then the claw end to lever it back into the slotted position.

I have and use the taller 48” jacks but love this shorter 33” for almost all tasks and keep it on our car trailer now for changing flats if we get one as I don’t need the tall Jack unless tractor or our lifted Jeep (CJ7 5” lift with 35” tires you need the 48” jack) most other normal soccer mom jeeps the 33” will work hahaha enjoy

It does exactly what it says, and is very sturdy, but if you try to reverse it and you don’t have about 120 lbs of downforce on it … the whole ratcheting assembly plummets in a free fall to the floor. This could be a very serious issue if it is raised high.

i bought it to jack up my old DJ5 postal jeep to get it on jack stands while i restored it, now i find myself using it for all sorts of stuff, i have even used to to pull fencing tight and pull fence posts up

I love hi-lifter jacks and have used them or years. I bought this as a second one for my sawmill, and it was very disappointing from the start. The mechanism is not well designed and put together. It doesn't ride down freely when released, and the lever to engage it for lifting is very hard to engage and often slips off its block. I returned this, and will seek a better product.
