These are heavy duty. The short one fits securely over the taller one to achieve the 9 inches. They seem much more substantial than those we could find locally.

I love these, shipped from the states, arrived well before the expected date, and yes they're plastic, but might as well be made out of iron because it is super strong

I ordered these for my elderly father's condo. He has vintage living room furniture that is very low and hard for older people to get up from. We put the rises under the legs of the sofa and armchair and it really makes a difference. They are as described and arrived in a timely manner.
