Very solid and sturdy although quite heavy. Comes with it's own screwdriver and is very easy to assemble and attach to your desk

I love these shelves. I like the flexibility of being able to have the shelves above or below desk level and also on the inside or outside of the support bar. The shelves are really nice quality and the clamp is sturdy. Was pretty straightforward to put it all together too. Best part of the shelves is the swivel action so I have been able to clamp it to the side of a kitchen worktop and swivel it to the side.

You have to assemble it yourself but it's very easy to do so. A screwdriver is provided and you simply screw each plate onto the holder. You can screw the plate on the front or the back. But the holder itself is rotatable which is convenient.One thing to note is the entire thing is metal and is quite heavy. While it is fairly stable, the plates themselves are a bit too flexible. They flex easily to weight but are stable otherwise. You also have to make sure your desk or furniture has enough desk room which was a bit hard to find. I wish the clamp was long and rectangular instead of the deep circulator.Overall it's a pretty good desk clamp and easy to put together but on the heavy side and the plates flex easily. If it had a clamp that works with smaller spaces, a lighter weight, and less flex I would give this a 5* but otherwise it's a pretty solid 4* for me
