I use chalk for bouldering and top rope at an indoor rock climbing gym. Compared to other chalk ball options in the market, this is a pretty affordable option at $6 (as of Dec 2024) for two chalk balls. The chalk in the bag isn't the best quality chalk out there, but the balls make it easy to reapply often. Plus, once the chalk balls are empty, you can refill them with some better quality chalk too. Just always make sure the balls stay full, because this is required for it to work properly.

3 stars cause the bags they are supposed to be stored in are ruined during the vacuum sealing process. Not a huge deal but it means you need to get your own little plastic bag for these in order to bring them to gym. The carry bag is supposed to be included.

Do not get this if you think the chalk ball is reusable. Based on the product image, I was expecting a cinch closure system that would allow me to refill the chalk ball when empty.As you can see from the photo, the top of the ball is wrapped with wire that's typically seen in non reusable chalk balls. For the price, 2 non reusable chalk balls would be a good deal if it weren't for the fact the chalk itself feels slick in the hand and requires frequent reapplication.
