Bought this for my brother who has a teenage daughters, wife and a couple dogs that shed hair like crazy in sinks. He was constantly tearing drain pipes apart to clear hair clogs. This gadget is longer than most and has 4 claws instead of the usual 3 with magnetic ends and has made his life much easier. Very easy to use, has many uses for all kinds of thing. Lightweight, comfortable to hold. Works as described and overall a Great purchase.

Nice grabber!I have used these in the past, and my most recent version (probably 5 years old) has lost its "return" spring (the part used for grabbing). I decided on a new one, and this did not disappoint!It's easy to use and the neck is more like a gooseneck than a spring, so it's more firm where needed, like reaching into an air vent in the house. Also, and this is VERY important... the LED light at the end is easy to operate with a thumb button, so you can turn it on for those dark areas like down a drain.One note: It's not rechargeable, instead using 3 button batteries for power. This is probably OK for the occasional use it will get, and the batteries are put into a plastic holder so you're not fumbling around with them trying to get them lined up into the shaft.Also, be careful when changing batteries, maybe it's just the one item I received, but the spring at the back of the battery compartment does not seem to be "affixed" to the base. It's fine really, because the spring is large enough that it won't get lost. Just a heads up to be careful!

Overall i'm pretty impressed with this little grabber, as it can fit in a lot of tight spaces, most importantly it can go down the average drain and can grab on to smaller objects with the push of a button. The claw part of the grabber has somewhat thin hands but this issue seems necessary has they have to fit into the slim tube housing. I would recommend this as a handy tool to have if you want to avoid opening pipes to retrieve lost items, even if you don't see your self using it often.

I am impressed with the quality of this grabber! I really want my kids to have good tools in their toolboxes so I'm adding one piece at a time and picking out the items that are of good quality! These are study, easy to use, and functional.
