Mounted these on both sides of the door going from our garage to the house. It is two steps up and as we age falling is more of a concern. These mounted solidly, look good, and really make it much safer.

My mother is in her late 80's and has problems with mobility, but I happened to notice that her bathrooms were not equipped with items that would make it easier for her to move around. So, I took steps to correct the problem, by adding grab bars and a raised toilet seat.Although I am also a senior citizen, I have been fortunate not to experience mobility issues. But when I renovated my shower, I decided that it was prudent to install grab bars. I chose the anti-slip grip grab bars because I could imagine the potential for your hand sliding on a wet grab bar, if it was not anti-slip.I was concerned that the lower price for this product would result in it being poor quality, but this was not the case. If mounted properly, I found the grab bar to be very sturdy. The reason I say if mounted properly, is because I am not a fan of the plastic wall anchors that came with the grab bars, because I don't feel that they are strong enough to prevent the bars from pulling away from the wall if someone applies too much pressure when trying to pull up on the bar. If I am not successful in screwing into a stud, I choose to use toggle bolts that are designed to support heavy loads.Regarding the lower price of the product, I assume that one reason for the low price is because some assembly is required. But assembly only requires that you attach the grab bar to the mounting bracket, However, I offer this piece of advice. The mounting bracket has three holes for the screws to be inserted. When you attach the bracket to the grab bar, make sure you turn the bracket, so the holes are in a position that makes it easy to insert screws. If you are not paying attention to how you assemble the grab bar, one of the screw holes might be blocked by the grab bar and it will be difficult to use a screw driver.

These 24" bars were used on a porch step railing to make it more comfortable for parents to navigate. Easy to install, very sturdy. Recommend for safety bars as the knurled surface is easy to grip.

I have bought and installed 6 of these grab bars for my elderly father. They are extremely sturdy and the etched diamond pattern makes them slip-free and easy to hold on to. The price is more than fair and they are very easy to install. Very solid. Have bought three times now, always the same quality. A rare 5-star product.

Firm grip due to rubber on handles and three screws on each side. Design hides screws when finished assembly, looks nice.

Nice looking. I placed it up and down just outside the shower for stepping into the shower. It's great. Sturdy and not too awful expensive.

As suppose to use Safety grab rail to get in and out bathtub due to old joint injury, haven't installby handyman as soon unpack and inspect good. Terrible quality welding, chrome is dulled and circumferenc is too small suited for toddlers or maybe very small build persons. Disappointed after waited for 7 days as prime member to get delivered this. Heading to bunnings instead forsake of safety. Atleast no photoshop promotion on products there. Disappointed. Not upvto AS standards safety. Wasting time to return two of then, costing more petrol monies. How could Amazon allowed this? Is this ebay?
