I was disappointed that there were no instructions. Specifically, there is a gear alignment mark that needs to be checked prior to installation and you need to know the distance the ram drive should stop when raising the drive. Although you can figure it out, it would be handy to know which way to rotate the switch to make the drive move higher/lower. The trim stop switch worked fine, but the trim sender was too sensitive (I checked before installing it). I was expecting the trim gauge to gradual sweep up/down, but barely turning the sender gear caused the gauge to go immediately full up or down. My old sender allows the gauge to move gradually, but does not represent the correct location. Perhaps the sender would work better if I bought a new gauge. It is worth testing the systems prior to installing.
