I am a person who likes his stuff overbuilt, think Red Oxx bags. I'm using these as retention adjustment screws on a gun holster. I've received thumb screws for other holsters, but these are the most heavy-duty ones I have found. The knurled head is huge and has a really aggressive texture. If you look at the photos, these screws are on the right. Here are measurements I did with a calipers.Head diameter: 0.4425"Head height: 0.27"Shoulder diameter: 0.315"Shoulder height: 0.127"This company sells this same screw with a 3/4" length as well, which I also purchased.

I bought these Thumb Screws to replace plastic Thumb Screws that were wearing out on a backlighted Address Plate Holder on out front porch. The white plastic plate has Black Plastic street numbers to make it easily visible, especially at night when the 5 small light bulbs are on behind the plate. There is a screw on each corner, and the light bulbs last several months. It is much quicker to use Thumb Screws to allow tool-less light bulb changes. These are perfect.

Worked for my application/need. Nice finish and threads were in good condition. Screws were new. Cheaper to buy 10 than 5 at hardware store, if you could find.
